Dr. Tuyen Le is the Program Manager at the California Education Learning Lab. Her background spans the fields of education, environmental justice, and social equity. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching, instructional design, student mentorship, qualitative research methods and analysis, environmental policy, and landscape change adaptation. Prior to joining the Learning Lab, she was a funding research lead at Climate Finance Solutions and a lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a first-generation student, she has experienced the difficulties of navigating higher ed firsthand and feels strongly about improving equity in education and supporting learners from disadvantaged backgrounds so that they may thrive and succeed. Tuyen holds a Ph.D. in Geography from UCLA and a B.A. in Geography and the Environment from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a former Fulbright Fellow and American Council of Learned Societies Fellow.
